George Washington Prep extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Donald 'Trey' Thompson Jr. The George Washington Prep Generals came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jordan Bulldogs on Monday, sneaking past 66-63 thanks in part to Thompson Jr, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine steals. He has become a key player for George Washington Prep: the team is 10-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 2-7 otherwise.

Gabaree Scott was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 11 boards and four blocks. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 13 games he's played.

George Washington Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points over those games. As for Jordan, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.
