Davis has gone 10-0 against Layton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Davis Darts will face off against the Layton Lancers at 5:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Davis is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fremont just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 54-29 to the Silverwolves. The game marked the Darts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Layton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Syracuse, falling 48-24. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Titans are ranked 15th).

Davis will have to keep a close watch on Taya Pace and Kaymbree Henry, a pair of players who had a big impact on Layton's prior game. Pace posted eight points, while Henry put up five points.

Davis' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Layton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything went Davis' way against Layton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Davis made off with a 54-29 win. Does Davis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Layton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
