Volleyball Game Preview: Cheyenne Wells Tigers vs. Eads Eagles

The Cheyenne Wells Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Eads Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cheyenne Wells is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Cheyenne Wells had taken Genoa-Hugo/Karval down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cheyenne Wells sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Eads came up short against Cheraw on Friday and fell 3-1.

Eads started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-22, 25-16, 25-23.

Eads' defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Cheyenne Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Cheyenne Wells came out on top in a nail-biter against Eads in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
