Baseball Game Preview: Seminole Chieftains vs. Harding Prep

The Seminole Chieftains will face off against Harding Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Harding Prep took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Seminole, who comes in off a win.

Seminole is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Okmulgee get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Chieftains as they're now sitting on three straight.

Seminole got a massive performance out of Carter Childs, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Childs a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Northrip, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Seminole always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Harding Prep lost 11-1 to Tecumseh last Tuesday. Harding Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seminole pushed their record up to 4-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Harding Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
