Softball Recap: Mountain View Triumphs

Mountain View's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Liberty Lions by a score of 6-2. The Toros haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kylynn Sylvester was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Tierah Metcalf, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season.

Mountain View will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Red Mountain at 3:45 p.m. As for Liberty, they are taking a road trip to square off against Perry at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
