 Plainfield East scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Joliet Central Steelmen  a   16-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Plainfield East considering their two-run performance the  match before.
  Aneesa Loring looked comfortable as she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (she also only allowed one  walk).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Natalie Utrata, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Corinne Garmon was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 On Joliet Central's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Victoria Godinez, who  went 1-for-1 with a  double.
 The  victory  got Plainfield East back to even at 5-5. As for Joliet Central, they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-7.
 Plainfield East didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-2  defeat vs. Plainfield South on the 15th. Joliet Central has also already played their next game,  a  17-0  loss against Plainfield Central on the 15th.
