Volleyball Recap: Cathedral Catholic Dons vs. Mater Dei Monarchs        
        
		
             On Tuesday fans watched as two of the best teams in the nation hit the court. The Cathedral Catholic Dons walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Mater Dei Monarchs. The Dons are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 22 straight.
 The  victory didn't come easy: Mater Dei scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 25-20,  25-22.
 Leading Cathedral Catholic to victory were  Kale'A Lee and  Maya Evens.  Lee  had eight  digs and 26  assists, while  Evens  had 11  digs and four  aces. Lee has been hot for a while, having  posted 14 or more  assists the last 11 times she's  played.
 Cathedral Catholic  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 11  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in October.
 Mater Dei's loss  came despite strong showings from  Sam Capinpin and  Kayla Ostovar.  Capinpin  had seven  digs and three  aces, while  Ostovar  had 19  digs.
 Cathedral Catholic pushed their record up to 45-3 with the  win, which was their 19th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Mater Dei, they moved to 37-5 with that  loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.
 Cathedral Catholic will play host again  on Saturday to welcome Archbishop Mitty, where the match is scheduled  at 6:30  p.m. Archbishop Mitty will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something Cathedral Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. Mater Dei does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
