Baseball Recap: Asheville Christian Academy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Asheville Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Concord Academy Eagles, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since March 18th.

Asheville Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for Concord Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Asheville Christian Academy will square off against Grace Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Concord Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
