Softball Recap: Denton Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Denton fell victim to Boyd and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boyd Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Denton's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Boyd, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season.

It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Broncos duke it out with the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Boyd, they will square off against Whitesboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
