Matt Larson and Beau Brown provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Rapid City Central. The connection was good for 60 yards, the longest such play in Eastern South Dakota this season.

Brandon Valley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Huron, 31-7. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Lynx.

Mitchell/Mitchell Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Larson threw for 179 and two touchdowns and Brown had 89 yards receiving. On the ground Larson chipped in 61 yards. Evan Mastel helped Mitchell/Mitchell Christian's passing attack out by catching four balls for 54 yards.

The Kernels' Larson and Landon Neugebauer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Larson has thrown for 631 yards this season, while Neugebauer, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 24 catches for 219 yards. Yankton's Levi Davis leads the league in rushing yards with 469.

A big matchup in Eastern South Dakota this week will be when Brandon Valley takes on Aberdeen Central. As it stands, Chad Garrow's team is in first, while the Golden Eagles are in sixth.

Watertown was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Arrows defeated Aberdeen Central 28-14 earlier in the week.
