Baseball Game Preview: McCamey Badgers vs. Kermit Yellow Jackets

The McCamey Badgers will challenge the Kermit Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

McCamey lost 10-1 to Kermit on Friday. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Kermit's part, Ian Bejarano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Kermit is 2-1 when Bejarano allowsthree or fewer earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Bejarano was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Zakry Salais and Sergio Quiroz did most of the damage at the plate: Salais scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Quiroz went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. What's more, Salais posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zeke Carrasco, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Kermit was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

McCamey now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Kermit, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
