The Norwalk Bears will face off against the Notre Dame Prep Lancers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Norwalk is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Notre Dame Prep will be up against a hot Norwalk squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Bears came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against Wilton. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since May 3, 2024.

Maddie Collins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Emily Restaino was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Ally Lanzarotto was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Notre Dame Prep). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over O'Brien RVT on Wednesday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Condors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory got Notre Dame Prep back to even at 2-2. As for Norwalk, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Norwalk couldn't quite finish off Notre Dame Prep in their previous matchup last Wednesday and fell 6-4. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
