Softball Game Preview: Ticonderoga Sentinels vs. Tuckahoe Tigers

The Ticonderoga Sentinels will face off against the Tuckahoe Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ticonderoga comes in on 17 and Tuckahoe on eight.

Ticonderoga is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Sunday. They won by a run and slipped past Stillwater 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sentinels have posted since May 14, 2024.

Myleigh Drinkwine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Ticonderoga hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Tuckahoe got themselves on the board against Pine Plains on Monday, but Pine Plains never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Bombers. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Tuckahoe's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Ticonderoga, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
