Baseball Recap: Lindsay Wins Going Away Against Lone Pine

With a playoff win on the line, Lindsay rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Lone Pine Golden Eagles 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bryan Martinez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Espinoza Alex, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Lindsay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .556 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got Lindsay back to even at 11-11-1. As for Lone Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Coming up, Lindsay will head out on the road to face off against Mendota at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aztecs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. Lone Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
