Softball Preview: Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs vs. Meigs Marauders

Meanwhile, Meigs stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Eastern as Meigs made off with a 10-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but Meigs sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jaynna Wright made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Wright was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Meigs got a massive performance out of Mallory Adams, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Delana Wright, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Lynchburg-Clay's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12. As for Meigs, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
