Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Falls Short Against Ranked Okemos

Lakeland faced Okemos in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Okemos, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-10-2.

Coming up, Lakeland will venture away from home to challenge Walled Lake Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Okemos, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against North Farmington on the 3rd.
