Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Ely Newman: he recorded his first sack on Friday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He also made three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass as Waverly took down Johnson City 49-7. We hope Newman's good performance is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.
