Basketball Recap: Dollar Bay Beats Jeffers for Their Third Straight Victory

Dollar Bay entered their tilt with Jeffers on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Jeffers Jets 49-31. Given the Bays' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Jets are ranked 620th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dollar Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Kentala, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 20 points and five assists. That's the most points Kentala has posted since back in February of 2024. Liam Tourtillott was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Dollar Bay's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Jeffers, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Dollar Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 87-46 victory against Chassell on the 4th. Jeffers has also already played their next game, a 57-29 win against Hancock on the 3rd.
