Volleyball Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Greater Nanticoke Area lost against Dallas back in September of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 3-2. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mountaineers 25-17 in the first set.

Greater Nanticoke Area started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 18-25, 25-16, 25-12, 15-7.

Despite the loss, Greater Nanticoke Area still got an impressive performance from Alyvia Schneider, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Greater Nanticoke Area has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Dallas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Coincidentally, Greater Nanticoke Area and Dallas will both be playing Wyoming Valley West the next time they take the court. The Mountaineers will host the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
