Basketball Game Preview: Hillsboro Trojans vs. Hesston Swathers

Hillsboro hasn't had much luck against Hesston recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hillsboro Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Hesston Swathers at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Hillsboro was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-35 to Haven. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hesston put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 40-34 W over Hoisington.

Hesston pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hillsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Things could have been worse for Hillsboro, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-35 loss to Hesston in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hesston's Reed Friesen, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.
