Baseball Preview: Mamaroneck Tigers vs. Carmel Rams        
        
		
            
 Mamaroneck is 3-0 against Carmel since May of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Mamaroneck Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Carmel Rams at 4:30  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mamaroneck has three straight  victories, Carmel has four straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 Last Friday, Mamaroneck was able to grind out a solid  win over White Plains, taking the game  5-1. That four run margin sets a new team best for Mamaroneck this season.
 Mamaroneck got a great performance from  Gabe Roland as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Roland has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  JJ Grimes was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Justin Sheeky was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Carmel didn't have quite enough to beat Brewster on Friday and fell  3-2.
 Mamaroneck's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Everything went Mamaroneck's way against Carmel when the teams last played  back in April of 2018 as Mamaroneck made off with  a  10-4 win. Does  Mamaroneck have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carmel turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
