Baseball Recap: Hayfield Comes Up Short

Hayfield was the 4-0 winner over Fillmore Central/Lanesboro when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hayfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Fillmore Central/Lanesboro, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hayfield will host Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fillmore Central/Lanesboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewiston-Altura at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
