Baseball Recap: North Eugene Gets the Win

North Eugene came out on top against Century on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Highlanders took their matchup against the Jaguars 10-5. This was payback for the Highlanders, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for North Eugene and bumps their season record up to 4-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Century, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

North Eugene and Century will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Highlanders will challenge rival Crater at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Century is set to face off against their familiar foe Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
