Volleyball Recap: Cannon Falls Falls to Caledonia in First Game of Season

Cannon Falls kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Caledonia Warriors. The Bombers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-22, 18-25, 25-13.

Claire Meyers paced Cannon Falls' offense, picking up ten kills. Meyers got some help from LIbby Sampson and her 17 assists. Meyers also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Falon Hepola, racking up two apiece.

Caledonia has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Cannon Falls and Caledonia will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bombers will face off against rival Byron at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Caledonia is set to take on their familiar foe Rushford-Peterson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
