Football Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short on the Road Against King + How To Watch

Roosevelt kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the King Wolves by a score of 22-20. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

King was led to victory by Colton* Zeen and Ben* Major. Zeen rushed for 149 yards and one TD on only 15 carries, while Major rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. Zeen got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards.

Roosevelt and King could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Mustangs will take on San Juan Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (145 vs. 21). Meanwhile, King (ranked 206th) will meet San Jacinto (ranked 69th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
