Baseball Recap: Seven Rivers Christian Starts Season with Victory Against Wildwood

Seven Rivers Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Wildwood Wildcats as the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors made off with a 13-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted since April 9, 2024.

Mason Hogue made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Hogue was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Seven Rivers Christian got a big performance out of Ethan Purnell, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Robby Sloan Jr, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
