Mauldin took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Riverside, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mavericks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Warriors on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Mavericks: when they faced off against the Warriors on Thursday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Mauldin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Riverside, they moved to 8-6 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Mauldin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Catawba Ridge on the 6th. As for Riverside, they will challenge James F. Byrnes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
