Volleyball Recap: Diamond Takes a Loss

Diamond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Miller Cardinals, falling 3-0. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Miller scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-19.

Aubrey Ball paced Diamond's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ball got some help from Kenzie Crook and her 17 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Camden Stockton, who had 30 assists and seven digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Diamond's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Miller, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4-1.

Diamond wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lockwood on the 9th. As for Miller, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Ash Grove on the 9th.
