Preview: Bainbridge Bearcats vs. Hardaway Hawks
The Bainbridge Bearcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Hardaway Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Bainbridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Saturday, Bainbridge strolled past Seminole County with points to spare, taking the game 65-47.
Meanwhile, Hardaway fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Shaw on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the Raiders. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lamell Mims, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Mekhi Benton, who scored 11 points.
Bainbridge's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Hardaway, they bumped their record down to 10-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Bainbridge strolled past Hardaway when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 50-33. Will Bainbridge repeat their success, or does Hardaway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
