Softball Recap: Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs vs. Springfield Tigers
Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart hadn't done well against Springfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Tigers. Sadie Kirtz was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Elsie Rudeen also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only managed nine hits.
