The Mandeville Skippers will head out to  take on the Fontainebleau Bulldogs  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Mandeville will be strutting in after a  victory while Fontainebleau will be coming in after a  loss.
Having struggled with three  defeats in a row, Mandeville  turned things around against Covington  on Tuesday. They blew past the Lions 3-0. The Skippers not only won  on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win  since October 14th (when they won  3-0).
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14,  25-17.

Mandeville can attribute much of their success to   Alyssa Gaudet, who  had ten  digs and two  assists, and   Julia Marengo, who  had eight  digs and four  aces. Marengo is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's  played.
 They weren't the only good servers: Mandeville  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with ten  aces. They are 5-1 when  they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Fontainebleau faced Slidell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost  3-0 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Bulldogs have suffered  since October 14th.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20,  25-16.
 Mandeville now  has a winning record of 15-14. As for Fontainebleau, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-15.
 Mandeville suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Fontainebleau  in their previous meeting  back in September. Can the Skippers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
