Basketball Recap: Del Sol Takes a Loss

Del Sol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 80-44 loss at the hands of the Shadow Ridge Mustangs. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-30.

Despite the loss, Del Sol still got an impressive performance from Jaeden Alexander, who posted 18 points and five boards. The game was Alexander's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Del Sol's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Shadow Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Del Sol will challenge Southeast Career Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Ridge, they will square off against Green Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Green Valley likes a good challenge.
