Volleyball Recap: Desert Ridge Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland, Desert Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Basha Bears. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won three in a row.

While Desert Ridge might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Basha scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Easton Pedersen, who had 18 digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last three games. Ryker Hawkins also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Desert Ridge's record now sits at 11-16. As for Basha, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-19.

Desert Ridge has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Queen Creek on the 1st. Basha does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
