Softball Recap: Lake Norman Wildcats vs. South Iredell Vikings
Lake Norman won the last time they faced South Iredell and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 10-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
Charlee Kelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lake Norman let Madilyn Billard and Kail Panaccione run wild. Billard got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI, while Panaccione went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three RBI gave Billard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wolf, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lake Norman lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Lake Norman's record now sits at 10-8. As for South Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
