Volleyball Recap: Menlo-Atherton's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Menlo-Atherton had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Ripon Christian Knights 2-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since March 27, 2024.

Ben Warner paced Menlo-Atherton's offense, picking up seven kills. Warner got some help from Coen Chou and his 24 assists. Finally, Millo Skhiri kept Menlo-Atherton's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Despite the defeat, Ripon Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ian Brown had seven digs and two assists.

Menlo-Atherton's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Ripon Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-8.

Coming up, Menlo-Atherton will take on Carlmont at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ripon Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lowell on the 29th.
