Soccer Game Preview: Ford vs. Community

Ford is 2-8 against Community since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will square off against the Braves at 7:15 p.m. Ford has given up an average of 7.2 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Ford's offense. They lost 6-0 to Caddo Mills on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Ford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 758th, while Caddo Mills are ranked 347th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Community was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of Mabank by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for Community in their meetings with Mabank: they've now lost nine in a row.

Ford's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1.

Ford might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Community in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
