Volleyball Recap: Osceola Takes a Loss

Osceola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Auburndale Eagles.

Osceola's offense was headlined by Kaylee Hurlburt and Jaci Irlbeck, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Addison Symons and her 18 assists. Lexi Kromrey controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Auburndale, their win bumped their record up to 19-12.

Osceola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against St. Croix Falls on the 4th. As for Auburndale, they will challenge Marathon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
