Soccer Game Preview: Great Mills vs. North Point

The Great Mills Hornets will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the North Point Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Mills will be strutting in after a victory while North Point will be coming in after a defeat.

Great Mills is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Lackey. The Hornets' defense stepped up to hand the Chargers a 4-0 shutout on Friday. The match was close at halftime, but Great Mills turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

Meanwhile, North Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Leonardtown, falling 8-0.

Great Mills was able to grind out a solid win over North Point in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 5-3. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
