Basketball Recap: The Master's Academy Takes a Loss

The Master's Academy came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors and fell 61-24. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Brooke Miller was her usual excellent self, going 9-for-15 on her way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and three steals for Veritas Christian Academy. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 29 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shea Nichols, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

The Master's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Veritas Christian Academy, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.

As of now, neither The Master's Academy nor Veritas Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
