Soccer Game Preview: Clark vs. Madison

The Clark Cougars will square off against the Madison Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clark's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Clark is headed into the game having not lost since the fourth and will look to keep things rolling. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Churchill on Saturday, sneaking past 3-2. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Chargers are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clark hit Churchill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Peyton Kellett, Adelein DeArmond, and Tatum Tommack.

Meanwhile, Madison unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to Reagan.

Clark pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matchups. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
