Basketball Recap: Tell City Marksmen vs. Cannelton Bulldogs
The Tell City Marksmen can finally bid farewell to their 14-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They really took it to Cannelton for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-35 win at home. Tell City's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Cannelton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trevor Hale. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points.
Tell City's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-17. As for Cannelton, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Tell City will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cannelton, they will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
