After a string of four wins, Southwest Guilford's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 97-66 loss at the hands of the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans. If the Cowboys were looking for revenge after losing 88-77 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southwest Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Southwest Guilford will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northern Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Wesleyan Christian Academy and High Point Christian Academy will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. High Point Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Wesleyan Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
