Basketball Recap: Cole Camp Comes Up Short

Cole Camp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Tipton Cardinals, falling 82-25. While losing is never fun, the Blue Birds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Cardinals are ranked 11th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tipton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clara Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Williams has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Ava Schlotzhauer was another key player, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards.

Cole Camp's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Tipton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

Cole Camp does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tipton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-17 victory against New Franklin on the 1st.
