Volleyball Recap: North Branch Falls Despite Big Games from Haley Henry and Addison Franklin

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Salpointe Catholic Lancers.

North Branch's loss came despite strong showings from Addison Franklin and Haley Henry. Franklin had 11 digs and five aces, while Henry had 13 digs and two assists.

Salpointe Catholic can attribute much of their success to Nicole Monge, who had 17 digs and three assists. That's the most assists Monge has posted over her last eight contests.

North Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Salpointe Catholic, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 22-7.

North Branch and Salpointe Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Broncos will take on Armada at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (22 vs. 512). Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic (ranked 18th) will meet Sahuaro (ranked 183rd) at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
