It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hunt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Southern Nash Firebirds. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Seth Evans was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zach Taylor, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Hunt and bumps their season record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Southern Nash, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Hunt will be playing in front of their home fans against South Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
