Basketball Recap: Hifz Academy Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Hifz Academy Pegasuses were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-29 to the Candlelight Christian Academy Flames. The Pegasuses have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Candlelight Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Craig Morris, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremias Sanchez, who put up five points.

Hifz Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Candlelight Christian Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Hifz Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Champions Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hifz Academy is facing Champions Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Champions Christian Academy is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. Candlelight Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
