Soccer Game Preview: Rapid City Central vs. Spearfish

The Rapid City Central Cobblers will face off against the Spearfish Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Rapid City Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Stevens, who was ranked second at the time (Rapid City Central was ranked 18th). The Cobblers lost 9-0 to the Raiders on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Spearfish was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Douglas/Rapid City Christian, falling 6-0.

Rapid City Central now has a losing record of 4-5-2. As for Spearfish, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
