Basketball Game Preview: Hawbridge Herons vs. Emerson Waldorf Gnomes

The Hawbridge Herons will head out on the road to square off against the Emerson Waldorf Gnomes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hawbridge hasn't scored more than 18 points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Hawbridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were dealt a 60-18 loss at the hands of Excelsior Classical Academy back in December of 2024. The Herons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-9.

Meanwhile, Emerson Waldorf lost to Carolina Friends at home by a 69-51 margin on Tuesday. The Gnomes haven't had much luck with the Quakers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Hawbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Emerson Waldorf, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
