Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harrisburg). Everything went their way against the Batesville Pioneers on Monday as the Harrisburg Hornets made off with a 12-2 victory. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 16-11 win the Pioneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2017.

The team relied heavily on Hannah Mross, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camilla Spiegel, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Harrisburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Batesville only posted an OBP of .294.

Harrisburg now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Batesville, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Harrisburg has already played their next match, a 6-2 loss against Walnut Ridge on the 11th. As for Batesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-9 victory against White County Central on the 11th.
