Baseball Game Preview: Burbank Titans vs. Sheldon Huskies

The Burbank Titans will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Sheldon Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Burbank is headed out to face Sheldon after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Burbank's pitchers stepped up to hand Kennedy a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Kevin Duplessis and Kevion Duplessis did most of the damage at the plate: Kevin scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Kevion scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Sheldon posted their biggest win since April 1, 2024 on Wednesday. Everything went their way against West Campus as Sheldon made off with a 12-0 victory.

Javier Avalos was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Solari, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Sheldon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Campus only posted an OBP of .211.
